Cheese Scones
We love a bowl of soup in this house but one thing we love more is choosing a delicious side, preferably something with cheesy goodness! Enter these cheese scones made with whole grain flour and plenty of cheese. We often have sweet scones on the weekend for breakfast, I hadn’t really thought of making a savoury version until recently when we were getting a bit bored of our grilled cheese side to a bowl of soup. These scones were pretty popular and have made a few appearances on our lunch menu lately. Delicious warm from the oven with a pat of butter and maybe dunked into a steaming bowl of soup. Would be delicious with herbs (rosemary, basil, thyme) or grated veggies such as carrot or zucchini folded in.
